“Tucson's best Greek salad can be found right
near campus. The Fat Greek offers its large
version complete with pita bread for a very
reasonable price.”

About Us
The original Fat Greek opened its doors in March of 2003.
A local, family owned and operated business, it was the
dream of George Markou, the owner and cook. Started by
George and his wife, Traci, the restaurant survived at its
original upstairs deck location and later moved to the lower
level right across the street from the University of Arizona’s
Main Gate at 994 E. University Blvd.
This simple eatery provides fast service, filling, authentic
Greek food and a casual, relaxed dining atmosphere. It offers
a cozy outdoor patio decorated with hand-painted murals
created by George’s wife. Indoors, sit with friends, family and
colleagues and enjoy your meal over a game of “tavli”
(backgammon), chess, or checkers.
Our second location, Fat Greek 2, is located in the Basha's
Shopping Center at Swan and Camp Lowell: 3225 N. Swan
Rd Ste 105. At Fat Greek 2 we offer an expanded menu
including fine dinner options and a full-service dining
experience to better serve you!
